WEEK SEVENTEEN

Dear MJCS Families,

• We’re celebrating Chinese New Year this Saturday at the cafetorium. Our program will start at 10:45 am, Please come join us with your friends and family.
• Our basketball class is currently operating from 12:00 to 12:30 due to an ongoing program run by the township. We expect our class to resume its normal schedule by early March. We will inform you as soon as we have more information. Thank you for patience. 
• The ANJCS Chinese Chess Contest deadline is Saturday, February 17th. If you’re interested, please talk to your teacher directly.
• Our School will be closed next Saturday, February 17 to celebrate Presidents Day.

From our PTO

1. The MJCS Chinese New Year Celebration is this Saturday and will feature a lion dance, performances by our students, food and carnival games with prizes.  Food and carnival tickets will be on sale in the lobby.  The PTO is still looking for a few more parent volunteers to help with the celebration.  Please consider signing up to help: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b4aafa623a02-mjcs5.  We are also looking for donations of homemade traditional Chinese foods.  All volunteers and homemade food donations will receive one credit towards the refund of the PTO deposit.  
2.  The following vendors will be in the lobby from 11:00am-1:00 pm:
   - Bo-Hai Dumpling will be selling assorted frozen dumplings and buns.
   - Honest Foods will be selling kimchi and fermented rice.

• 本校春節慶祝聯歡活動將在本週六上午10:45隆重登場！節目內容豐富！期待全校師生家長共同參與，也歡迎邀請親朋好友出席。
• 籃球課上課時間因與本市活動衝突，因此暫時調整為中午12:00到12:30上課。預計三月份回到原本時段，屆時會特別通知。
• 年度新澤西中文學校協會象棋比賽報名截止日是2/17。有興趣參加比賽的同學請洽象棋指導老師潘老師。

家長會通知：

1.  本校將在二月十日舉辦春節聯歡會，節目包括舞獅、美食、遊戲與獎品。請向家長會購買餐券。

– 家長會持續銷售超市禮卡，有ShopRite、漢龍超市及大華超市等，請大家踴躍購買。每銷售一張禮卡，家長會將 獲得百分之五到六的回扣、嘉惠學子！感謝大家對中文學校的愛護與支持。

– 本週美食攤(11:00 am -13:00 pm)：誠實美食的泡菜、酒釀及大餅。渤海樓北方麵點美食。
