Dear MJCS Families: 

Great news!!  Our students below recently did wonderful jobs in outside school competition! 

9A student, Ichung Tan, won 3rd place in ANJCS Calligraphy contest in 4th Group

PC8 student, Michael Gorbunov, won 1st place in ANJCS YoYo contest in Middle Group

PC6 student, Dennis Tsui, won 2nd place in ANJCS YoYo contest in Middle Group

Congratulations to our 3 students and we are looking forward to seeing your outstanding performance again next year.

Summer is only 2 months from now.  Wondering how to let your child to spend this long summer vacation?  No worry!  Below 2 summer camps are very fun and we now accept registration:

2016 CACA Summer Camp – 7/25 to 7/29 from 9am to 4pm.  Registration is due by 5/22.  You can find all details in the website: www.cacanj.weebly.com  Or, please come to our Administration from more details.

2016 AJNCS Youth Chinese Orchestra Summer Day Camp -- 7/2 to 7/4 from 9am to 4pm.  You can find all details in the website: www.anjcs.org  Or, please come to our Administration from more details.

Please note the school safety duty is mandatory and is not part of PTO volunteer credit.

Early registration is starting until 6/4.  $30 discount will be given for the early registration. 

ACTFL test will be scheduled in May.  Our upper grade class students, who are taking the test this year, please soon register with our administration office.  Thank you

Don’t miss out!!  This year CACA Fun Day will be at our school on Sunday, 5/15 from 12pm to 5pm!  We will have great performances, lots of delicious food and many in-door and out-door games to play!  CACA welcomes everyone to join the Fun Day event.  The Fun Day ticket selling will be starting this Saturday.  Anyone purchase the ticket in advance will receive 2 extra tickets per every 20 tickets!  The more you buy, the more saving you getJPlease come to our PTO desk to purchase the tickets.

Please note 2016 FASCA enrollment will be closed by 5/15.  It's great opportunity for our senior students to earn volunteer hours!  Details please come to school cafeteria and contact David Chen.

Our yearbook sponsoring will be closed by 5/21.  If you need the sponsor form, please contact with school administration.

5/15 -- CACA Fun Fair and ANJCS Sports Day 園遊會暨運動會 at MJCS 12PM - 5PM

PTO News:

1. Shoprite and hMart Giftcards will be available for sale in the lower lobby at drop-off or at the PTO table in the cafeteria. MJCS PTO receives 5% from each giftcard purchased. Thank you for your continued support.
    
2. The PTO Mother’s Day Breakfast Sale is this Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the school lobby from 9:30am to 12:00pm. PTO is looking for food donations as well as volunteers to help set up, sell the donated food items and clean up. The theme of this fundraiser is Asian Style Breakfast which has been very popular with our school community. Signup Genius email was sent out last Friday. Please sign up to volunteer or donate food items. Stop by after drop off or during snack time for the kids to sample some of the delicious items made by our talented MJCS parents. All volunteers as well as each donated homemade food item will earn one PTO credit towards the refund of the PTO deposit. Credit will not be given for store bought items. There will also be some lovely items for Mom that will be on sale as well.
    
3. CACA Funday will be on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Discounted tickets for Funday will be available for advance purchase in the school lobby or at the PTO table in the cafeteria. Purchase your tickets in advance to avoid the long lines on Funday, 22 tickets for $10. If you are looking for more volunteer opportunities to earn your 2 PTO credits towards the refund of your PTO deposit, look out for the Signup Genius email over the weekend. We will be needing volunteers to help out during Funday.
    

4. Café Philo @ NJ is back at MJCS this Saturday, May 7, 2016.  

   The topic of this week’s seminar is: Tiger Mom, to be or not to be? (This seminar will be conducted in English)

不要錯過！今年中美文化協會主辦的園遊會將於5/15在本校舉辦！時間從中午12點到下午五點。當天會有許多精彩的表演，好吃的食物和許多室內及室外遊戲及活動！協會敬邀所有人都來參加。本週六我們將開始販售園遊票。早先買票，每20張票就能得到2張免費票。請至學校家長會處購買。

請注意，2016海外青年文化志工培訓班(FASCA) 在5/15報名截止。歡迎本校高年級同學（14 - 18歲）申請報名。 這是很好的機會可以獲得志工時數！詳細資訊請至學校禮堂向David Chen查詢。
